Southwest Airlines flash deal offering a free Companion Pass for families flying to cheer competitions, helping cheer moms save money on travel.

Southwest Airlines Flash Deal: Free Companion Pass

If you’re flying before November 20, you will definitely want to check out this phenomenal deal from Southwest Airlines! But HURRY- you have to act by September 5th!

Register by September 5 and you can earn a promotional Companion Pass to fly someone FREE with you from 1/6/25-3/6/24. I have used a Companion Pass for years to help offset competition travel expenses and have saved hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars on travel—which gives our cheer budget just a little more breathing room. Who doesn’t love that?

Once you earn the Companion Pass, you will book a ticket for yourself (using either cash or points).

Then, you will be able to add your companion, paying only the $5.60 government-mandated fee each way, for a grand total of $11.20 for a round-trip flight.

One very unique twist on this deal is that you can pay for the flights in step 2 using cash, points, or a combination of the two. Southwest’s rewards program is top-notch when it comes to flexibility, making it incredibly easy to change your flights after you book. And if the price of your flight drops, you can re-book the same itinerary and get a refund of the difference in fares! If you booked in points (which I HIGHLY recommend), the points just go back into your account. If you booked in cash, the difference is stored as a travel credit and must be used by the same person for future travel.

Here is the fine print to earn your Companion Pass:

  1. Register by 9/5 through Southwest Airlines
  2. Book a round trip, or two one-way, flights by 9/5 (must be a new reservation, existing reservations don’t count)
  3. Travel by 11/20
Did you register for the promotion? Have you earned a Southwest Companion Pass? Tell us about it in the comments below!
